After several weeks of working from home, we have all learned a lot about the world, our industry and about ourselves. I’d like to share my personal list:
We’ve learned that uncertainty is the worst feeling you can experience.
I’ve learned to recognize how much I miss an old building that we all called our “second home”.
I’ve learned how important it is to have discipline and a routine in order to keep functioning as a team.
I’ve learned how vital our daily work is to our clients and for the industry as a whole.
At the same time, we must go beyond the day-to-day work, since that is who we are as creatives.
I’ve learned what a privilege it is to have a job.
I’ve learned how to function through technology, because if this had happened twenty years ago, we simply couldn’t succeed.
We’ve learned to brainstorm, create, and present our ideas though Zoom without any problems.
We’ve also learned that Zoom Happy Hours are great, as long as you have snacks and a cooler close by.
After some time, we’ve learned that this is a serious situation, no matter what a few crazy politicians keep saying.
And we have also learned that even if it is a serious situation, it’s essential to keep a positive attitude and our sense of humor.
I’ve learned that when we return to “normal”, it will never be just that.
We have changed forever, hopefully for the better.
